An independent British jewellery brand with a focus on texture and fun, with each unique piece designed and hand-crafted by me, Josie.
3 things that make me happy: family, creativity and colour.
Josie was the nickname my father gave me as a child. He inspired me greatly in both his creativity and enjoyment of life through the people around him. I would spend hours at the bottom of the garden in my father’s workshop where after his normal day job, he would design and make beautiful cabinets and furniture – crafted in woods chosen for their colours, strength, texture and grains.
Creation has been a part of my life from a young age at work and home. From designing award-winning woven silk ties sold in Liberty and Selfridges and spending 2 decades working in the Fashion, Creative and Beauty industries to now. I have always loved expressing myself through clothes and jewellery while sparking joy along the way.
I want to combine my love of design, with fun, imagination and colour, plus demonstrate the transformational ability of a great piece of statement jewellery on your mood, confidence, sense of personal style and individuality - Josie Studio is the result.
With playful, adjustable, lightweight designs, our signature folded felt necklaces are comfortable and stylish, bringing ease and impact with a pop of personality. I live with asthma and heavy necklaces can feel restricting, so I wanted to make my own to help others experiencing the same. Whether you choose sky blue tones, bubblegum pink shades, sunset orange hues or another vibrant colour palette, Josie pieces are guaranteed to spark conversation…and most definitely a smile or two.
